Assessments

An increasing number of our clients realize the importance of properly assessing the traits, preferences and competencies of their leaders, managers or sales executives.

We find it particularly useful to distinguish between three different perspectives:

  • "Outer-View": How the people being assessed are perceived by others (e.g. superiors peers, subordinates, others)
  • "Self-View": How the people being assessed perceive themselves
  • "Inner-View": How the people being assessed probably are

All these 3 perspectives frequently bring about inconsistent results which lead to new insights and more targeted and effective development initiatives.

We scanned the vast market for assessments and realized that most 360 degree assessment tools are not sufficiently flexible to adjust the questionnaire and subsequent reports as needed by our clients, e.g. to reflect an existing leadership competency model. The tools we found that could be tailored tended to be exhorbitantly expensives.

As a consequence, we joined hands with the assessment specialist True Colours Ltd. and developed a highly flexible 360 degree assessment platform which allows us to design the assessment very closely to the specific requirements of our clients.

True Progress 360 is the result of this joint development and covers both "Outer-View" and "Self-View".

For "Inner-View" we found Harrison Assessments to be the best tool due to its high accuracy, practical application and flexible use.
